Components and scope
LocalGuard consists of a web panel, a Core that concentrates operational decisions, and components installed on devices. Each part has a specific responsibility so that administration and enforcement of protection remain traceable.
Web panel
Section titled “Web panel”The panel is the account’s administration space. It lets you check devices, define protection measures, manage screen time, and review the information available for each device. It does not enforce restrictions directly on the device.
The Core keeps the configuration and evaluates which policy applies to each device. It also maintains the operational state the panel shows to help identify if a component needs attention.
Installed components
Section titled “Installed components”Installed components enforce the Core’s decisions within their technical scope. Their availability and behavior depend on the platform, on the device pairing, and on their ability to communicate with the system.
Windows agent
Section titled “Windows agent”The agent enforces, on a Windows computer, the protection configured for that device. See the Windows agent guide for its requirements and how it works.
Browser extension
Section titled “Browser extension”The extension complements protection in supported browsers. See the extension guide to learn about its scope.
